Dinner Parties, a Bit of Snow and a Contest

Ok, so deceptive title - the first thing I want to talk about is TIM HOLTZ SNEAK PEEKS!

Yesterday, he started posting pics of his new Sizzix dies and they are to die for - no pun intended but is fun anyway.  Go to www.timholtz.com and click on blog to go right there.  Papercrafting goodness at its finest.

So here's what I think.  I think we need a contest.  Go and look at Tim's Blog.  Choose your favorite new die.  Post a comment back here about which new die is your favorite.  If your comment number is chosen, you will win that die....simple....elegant and fun.  Must be a blog follower to win, so tell all your friends.

In other news, we talked a while back about looking forward to the new year.  One of the things that my husband and I are doing this year is to invite people we know to dinner - concentrating first on those we haven't seen for a while or haven't spent quality time with.  Our first party is this Sunday.  Just a small group so that we can catch up.   All Barefoot Contessa recipes....so yummy.  We are going to take pics of the group at dinner, print it out in black and white and start a gallery in our kitchen....kinda like in the restaurants where they have the pics of the owners and celebrity guests.  How excellent will that be and so much fun to do.  When was the last time you had someone over to dinner?

Finally, we have a small dusting of snow here today, Little tiny bits of snow, not enough to ruin traffic yet, but just the same, a good day to stay inside and pack orders and list new stuff on the etsy.  3 ring albums from Pink Paislee - in three sizes - 6x6 for $4.00, 8x8 for $5.00 and 6x12 for $6.00...just the cutest fabric covers with chipboard pages.....loads of potential....

    Great contest! I love the new dies, cannot wait to see what TH does with them, I am sure we will all be awed! My favourite of this new collection is the tiny tabs and tags, I can see so much potential for these. Cheers, Rhonda

    How very sweet of you to offer such a simply giveaway. Don't ya just love this time of year and seeing all the new goodies to be had!

    I love the ATC and the corners. Just something about those lil corners that you can finish your pictures or art with that is "calling to me." Reminds of days gone by.

    We have snow, snow and more snow. Late start for my kiddos today. It isn't suppose to quit until late tonight, but the wind it going to pick up and blow all of it around :(

    It is hard to pick just one favorite from Tim's new dies!! I think the sewing room would be my first pick though but they are all a close tie!!! I need to win the lottery.....

    oh wow having to choose, It is a toss up between two that are must haves but As the rules are rules, I am going to have to say the umbrella man, I have always loves that image and to be able use it as a cut out is going to be so much fun, I am already planning some projects using it.

    I just love all the dies Tim's bringing out, but the one which I think is the most brilliant is the easel stand . . . . but don't know how I'm going to manage without the Tags and Tiny Things or the Umbrella Man -- and I do love the old car and the cog wheels . . . . . Oh dear!!!!

    I love them all, but if I have to pick one, I'd want the sewing set. My very first creations were sewing my own clothes - 45 years ago!

    Hard to choose, isn't it. Just when you think you are set for life ... along come some more "gotta have"s! I really like Umbrella Man but I think my favourite is the ATC and corner die. It would be so useful for making ATCs, rather than tags. What fun!

    I thought I was perfectly happy with all I have .... but there are sure some "gotta have"s in Tim's new dies. I love Umbrella Man ... it so reminds me of Jack Vettriano's Butler on the Beach paintings, but I think my favourite is the new ATC and corners die. That would be so useful!

    I have a couple favorite but since I must narrow it down to one I will have to say the weathered clock. Being able to set your own time on a tag or scrapbook page brings so much versatility. Thanks for your contest.

    This release peek looked like a family reunion of all of T!m's favorite little images... oh there's the umbrella man and the jalopy. *sniff-sniff* I'm going to kick and scream until I get them all! My favorite is the ATC die simply because I would use it a million times.
